Those who have been to Kings Park, understand it's wonder! Located just south of the University of Manitoba.
Kings Park is one of my favourite spots to go for a walk, take my dog to enjoy some off-leash play, enjoy a picnic or photograph family portraits!
It has no shortage of neat spots to explore. For this shoot it was a beautiful morning in early October (with a temperature of at least +20, yes we have been lucky this year!). We started off the photoshoot along the river. I positioned the family in front of the great expanse of the red river, which was very calm. Due to the refracting light, the river took on the colours of its surroundings, a bright sky, a reflection of the green and yellow trees.
There really isn't one spot in this park I don't love. Just as we exited the path following the river we stopped along this winding paved path for another photo op. Maggie the 5 month old Bernese mountain dog was ready for her close up!
Another great spot is the walking bridge, once made of wood and painted red. In 2017 the wooden bridges were removed and placed in the Whiteshell to enhance trail networks. These bridges were replaced with a bridge made of steel with a wooden deck.

I look forward to visiting this spot again soon!
